Keys and Getting Access

Keys and gaining access to the property I always organise it that each room has its own door key and also a front door key each. These are left in the back of the lock of each bedroom, as I don't know exactly who is having what room I leave them in the room so its easier for you upon entering the property. Either Ken the handyman or I can let you into the property on first visit or if some of your friends already are in the key will be waiting for you.

Parking Outside and Permits

On the first date when coming to the property the street is permit parking only and the wardens can be quite difficult the best option is to call Huddersfield Council Parking Office on 01484223222 and explain the situation that you are moving in so need to park close to the house to carry stuff in etc and they should ask for your car reg and put you on a day list to stop you from getting a ticket, its best to do this the day before you come and any other day you intend on coming as I wouldn't want you to get a ticket. Once in the property it is quite easy to get a parking permit for your own car, you just have to go down to the council office with a copy of the tenancy agreement and they will issue you with a year permit and also 1 visitors permit for the house which has a plastic wallet on the notice board to use, you have to apply for this yourselves when you do for your own car they won't allow me to do it. Please do also apply for the visitors permit aswell though as they are for a year and the cleaners will need it when they come and also if Ken needs to come do repairs.

Noticeboard and Boards in Rooms

In the kitchen there is a noticeboard that has some stuff on about the house and the wallet for the parking permit you are free to use this for whatever you like. Each room also had large boards that you are able to stick any photos, posters, notes, letters etc etc up in your room please do not stick anything else up in the room on the walls apart from on these boards as they have been put up specifically for that reason.
